Applications

Where it is used.

Replacement scopeRebar Free replaces 8 mm steel mesh @ 25×25 cm in slabs-on-grade, garage floors, industrial floors and topping concrete, at thicknesses starting from 5 cm, where such mesh is used as distributed reinforcement for crack control and service-load distribution.

The product packaging also lists architectural joints, and road and pavement edges. Any use on structural elements not listed in this scope requires the supervising engineer’s approval.

Method of use

From bag to slab.

  1. 1

    Determine the exact volume of concrete in the mixer or ready-mix truck.

  2. 2

    Add one full bag of Rebar Free for every 1 m³ of concrete.

  3. 3

    Empty the entire bag into the mixer without dividing it.

  4. 4

    Run the mixer for 7–10 minutes continuously after the addition.

  5. 5

    Pour, compact, level and finish as usual, and cure as per the approved specification.
